DICKINSON, Bessie Maude Wisher - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

COVINGTON -- Mrs. Bessie Maude Dickinson, 97, of 601 Pearl St., Covington, died at 5:20 a.m. Wednesday in Covington Manor Health Center where she had been a patient since July 10. She was a member of the Covington Royal Neighbors of America and the B&PW Club. She was also a member of the Covington United Methodist Church. Born Oct. 1, 1878, at Ottowa, Ill., she was a daughter of Charles and Augusta Jones Wisher. She married Samuel U. Dickinson in 1904. He died in 1942. Surviving are a son, Robert D. of Covington; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Randolph of Covington and Mrs. Marjorie Kaufman of St. Helena, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Garnet Rowe of Sidel, Ill.; a stepson, Horace Dickinson of Decatur, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in DeVerter Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert H. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. --waw
